Beckomberga Mental Hospital | Video 1

Beckomberga was one of Swedens largest mental hospitals and opened as early as 1935. At that point there were 1600 patients and 800 employes. The decision to close down the hospital came as late as 1995 and after that most of the facilities have been left for dead. Some buildings are still in use but a lot of it is now just a ghost of the past and a withering monument of the Swedish insanity.
